Study this picture for a while…..how does it feel to you emotionally/physically/spiritually? Where do you feel the feelings that the art generates? What is it about the art, in your opinion that makes you feel this way?

Put your response in the comment box, all answers go into the draw for a little envelope of love. :)

I think that the colors are peaceful, and the shapes draw the eye to the center where her face and the gold light combine. It leaves a pleasant, happy feeling, that resulted in a smile.

It made me feel beautiful, the rays speak to me..they told me to let go and shine. the Spirals to me are... a Circle moving forward. She is looking up, to me this is divine source. Very nice work!

Sitting under this tree there is a warmth that is almost heat pouring down on me. As I sit quietly allowing the warmth to wash over me, I feel a peaceful exhilaration in my mind and my heart. When I look at this piece, I see a wonderful energy emanating from it. I want to spend the whole day lounging under this tree :)

I am happy in my heart and feel peaceful throughout my body. I feel this as I imagine myself standing under the tree about where the figure is and I'm looking up and seeing beautiful colors that look like bubbles or balloons. My body wants to stretch up its arms toward the colors, not to touch them, but to reach for them. I feel my body stretching, even yearning toward beauty.

When I look at this I feel it in my third eye, it feels like it opens it up. I think the tree top and the burst of yellow color are doing it. U feek the swirly things on her dress in my heart. It feels awakening but in a calm and gentle way :)

It makes me feel that this is where heaven meets earth. At first I felt a grounding sensation coming up through my feet, then a showering of energy coming through my head. A very nice feeling indeed. I love your artwork. I find the colors and random subject matter fascinating ♥

When something speaks to me, it becomes art. I don't care if it was meant to be art or not in the first place. I once looked into a trash can and what I saw just spoke to my heart and gave me warm fuzzy feelings.

This piece didn't speak to me initially. Once looked upon closer, that changed. It spoke to my current mood or state of mind, which is probably why I see it somewhat darker than most. The more I looked at it the more I connected.

It hits a bit too close to home to share in a forum like this, but the tree top is a dark cloud to me that is finally blowing away, showing a distant warm light, promising better things ahead. All I have to do is pass under the dark cloud... courage. It takes courage.

The girl in the picture grounds herself in nature. She's alone but not lonely knowing that everything in life is divine and as it should be and, for me, seems to radiate love, hope and inspiration which is infectious. Love this picture...makes me feel positive, peaceful, happy :-)

Yes... My little characters are mostly imbued with a sense of knowing ...probably because knowing is a state of being that I love and seek out so it's good to know that she is sharing hers with you

I didn't have as good a reaction to it as the others did. Her smile seems stretched too thin. Also it is as if she is under a sand clock - you know where the sand is running out. I feel like all those colored circles are about to come crashing down on her. The colors are nice but at the bottom it is as if the color ran out and turned to a drip. I have similar reactions to other water color works where they let it end in drips down the page. I feel like they didn't know how to finish it so they let it just drip. That is a personal preference. My dreams were unsettled last night, so that is probably why I can't see it as dreamy or beautiful.

I love all the responses, it all interests me. It doesn't matter if they are 'negative' or 'positive' I don't take it personally , it's art and we are wonderful humans with such eclectic tastes and responses! I appreciate your emotional reaction. Really interesting!

Hi Arna!!! Wonderful work!!!

So what did I feel... I felt that your painting was multidimensional, like I was seeing a being coming towards me from another dimension, a world of light, slowly appearing, becoming bigger and more defined. And as she walks, she sends her energy before her. That energy is a bit chaotic, but in a good way - positive, loving, happy... as if a million thoughts are running through her head on how she can help, love, nurture ... At the same time, I see a tiny bit of sorrow. But I'm not sure... It's very faint, maybe hiding well behind the burst of vibrant positive energies being emitted.

As I'm writing this, I'm feeling sucker punched in my 3rd eye and heart chakra... mostly in my 3rd eye... I just felt a wooziness in my 3rd eye. Interesting. At first I felt nothing, but now... ooee... hahaha, amazing! :D

Thanks Violeta,
That's wonderfully comprehensive. Interesting that you felt it in your third eye, someone else mentioned that too. I think that it is very personal, our response to art but at the same time there is a certain intention that I do bring to my work and it is really interesting for me to notice when it is received and even when it reveals more to me than I consciously realised I was exploring at the time... If you get my drift :) really cool thanks so much

The colors are beautiful. I felt like someone who looks stunning, put together, carefree to the world but inside is off balance, carrying a load of expectations that aren't being fulfilled.

hat is extremely perspicacious of you Shelli..as i was drawing this one I was intending peace love serenity, and wish fulfilment but at the same time I was contemplating that we only wish for things when we don't have them so there was a kind of acknowledgement of the unfulfilled nature of life!

I was instantly drawn to the colors in this picture...they are beautiful as is your work. I felt warmth, happiness, and joy. The movement is wonderful. Drawings of the circles forming the circular image at the top is brilliant. It makes me feel uplifted. At first glance the first thought that came to my mind was a tree that the girl was relaxing beneath. Yet the more I looked at it something for me clicked. The joy, happiness, and uplifted feeling I first felt made me reliaze that this was a picture defining that beauty is not just on the outside but really does come from within! A small girl whose inner beauty explodes and spreads as you look up. Inner beauty makes people feel joy and uplifted and this girl's is spreading for everyone around her to feel!
